Debuting in the American indie circuit in 2009, Robinson has flourished at NJPW after coming over from the WWE. Disillusioned with his place in the wrestling world, he voluntarily left WWE's NXT program and joined New Japan in October 2015 to hone his skills. Juice quickly won fansd over by combining both a strong physical presence and quick rhythm, often taking out his opponent with his finisher, Pulp Friction. Robinson would struggle to maintain a consistent momentum in NJPW, often earning title matches against the likes of Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, or Kenny Omega for the IWGP US Championship, but never converting. After finally finding a Flamboyant Funk and gaining more confidence, he upset Jay White at G1 Special in the Cow Palace on July 7 2018 to become IWGP US Champion. A difficult G1 Climax campaign followed, and Juice was left more despondent when beaten by Cody at Fighting Spirit Unleashed in the autumn. He would earn the title back at Wrestle Kingdom however, and in emphatic form, before proving his win wasn't by chance, retaining the title against Beretta in February 2019, and against Chase Owens at the New Japan Cup final in March, despite overwhelming odds and Bullet Club interference. After a victory over Bad Luck Fale in April, things seemed to be looking up for Juice until he was confronted by a ghost from the past in the form of Jon Moxley. Having recently left the WWE, Moxley took out his pent-up frustration on Robinson and wrested the title from him in the process. Now completely focused on vengeance, the normally loquacious Juice became eerily taciturn, barely even smiling as his entered the ring. He got his revenge on Moxley during the G1 Climax, and the belt that meant so much to him seemed once again within reach, as a no DQ match with Moxley was made for King of Pro Wrestling. When travel issues prevented Mox's appearance though, Lance Archer appeared in his stead, and took the championship in a match Robinson was ill prepared for. During a vicious beating post-match, his long-term friend, David Finlay, returned from injury to chase Archer off and the two teamed-up during World Tag League 2019, emerging victorious. On January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom 14, Robinson partnered with David Finlay to beat G.o.D, becoming the new IWGP Tag Team Champions. On February 1 in Atlanta, FinJuice lost their IWGP Tag Team titles, but Robinson is always ready for any tag or singles opportunity coming his way.
