Yoshinobu Kanemaru

One of the most revered and decorated junior heavyweights in history, Kanemaru's 20 year plus experience makes him a devious force to be reckoned with. Having debuted for All Japan Pro Wrestling on July 6, 1996, he later found success in Pro Wrestling Noah starting in the early 2000's, eventually joining Suzuki-Gun in 2016. In 2017 he, along with the rest of Suzuki-Gun, started their assault on New Japan. Teaming with Taichi and then El Desperado, he has lifted the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships four times, his third 300+ day reign being the longest in 20 years. When Roppongi 3K vacated the IWGP Jr. tag titles in September 2020 due to a knee injury for YOH, Kanemaru and Desperado captured the vacant titles, and defended them successfully at Wrestle Kingdom. A brief reign by El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori was cut short when Kanemaru and Desperado won the titles again on the Road to Castle Attack, but at Sakura Genesis Roppongi 3K took the gold, putting the two on the road to revenge.
