In 2017, Scurll joined BULLET CLUB, and made his NJPW debut at Best of the Super Juniors. He immediately resumed a worldwide rivalry with Will Ospreay, winning his debut against the Essex man and ending his campaign with a 4-3 record. In November 2017, Scurll again defeated Ospreay to hold the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
