Naito is the brazen leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon, wrestling with unparalleled charisma and a burning desire to show the world what he can do.
After debuting in NJPW in May 2006 his first success was to be in the first team to win both IWGP Junior Heavyweight and Heavyweight Tag Team Champions (as a part of NO LIMIT, with Yujiro Takahashi). In September 2013, he won the NEVER Openweight Championship. In November 2015 he founded Los Ingobernables de Japon (L?I?J) and began a successful rise within NJPW that culminated on January 4 & 5 2020 when he became the first ever double IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion.
In the challenging year of 2020, Naito was a model of the tenacity of the human spirit, and looked to continue to lead NJPW into 2021. Yet it was Kota Ibushi that emerged with the double gold. Naito wants as many people as possible to see just what he is capable of, and to do that, he now begins a journey back to the Tokyo Dome main event in 2022.
